It is collected by the villa owner or authorised representative at check‑in, usually in cash or by another method stated in the booking conditions. At check‑out, the villa is inspected for any damage, missing items or breaches of house rules (such as smoking indoors or unauthorised pets). If everything is in order, the full deposit amount is returned to you the same day. If any damage or extra cleaning is required, the repair or replacement cost is deducted from the deposit and the remaining balance is refunded. The deposit is not an extra income for the owner; it is a standard security practice in villa rentals and the exact deposit amount and conditions are clearly shown on each villa’s page.

When fewer than 30 days remain before check‑in, most owners do not accept date changes, as the chance of re‑renting the villa is very low. We then review availability and the booking conditions. After approval, the remaining balance is paid through the supported Canvilia card flow or by bank transfer to our company account. We do not ask you to pay the booking price directly to a villa owner or at check-in. After the required payments and contract formalities are completed, we issue your travel document with the villa address, directions and host contact information, and the villa is reserved in your name for the agreed dates.
