What multigenerational actually needs

A villa for three generations needs less imagination than four separate holidays crammed into one. The list is short and concrete: a bedroom on the entrance level so a grandparent is not climbing stairs after a full day, a kitchen big enough for someone to cook for the whole group at once, and enough separate living space that people can retreat rather than share one sofa for a fortnight.

A bedroom that saves everyone stairs

Ask directly whether a bedroom, ideally with its own bathroom, sits on the villa's entrance level. Kalkan is built on a hillside and many villas step down in floors from the road, so ground floor here can still mean a flight of steps from the garden. It is worth confirming rather than assuming.

A kitchen that works for a crowd

A holiday kitchen built for two people cooking breakfast falls apart on the night someone wants to cook for everyone. Look for real counter space, a full-size fridge and, ideally, a dining table that seats the whole group at once rather than a breakfast bar for four.

Room to be apart, not just together
